With runaways abundant in faux-fur, laser cut velvet, and elegant pearl beading, it was apparent that high-fashion designers aspired to display nothing but luxury and sophistication during this years highly-anticipated, London Fashion Week.
Tom Ford is known for his fairly expressive runaway pieces but left everyone in shock when his seasons offerings were fairly conservative compared to his past designs. Some of his most memorable pieces include a two-piece, cherry red crocodile ensemble and dazzling, sequin embellished dress-length football jerseys which were enhanced with the number “61” for Ford’s birth year and the word “molly” with a slash through it.
Mary Katrantzou also displayed new additions which consisted of dresses made of unique sewn-together patches and a sweatshirt that was decorated with a 3D penguin which left everyone whispering to the person next to them.
The last event of the week belonged to Meadham Kirchhoff and she surely left everyone craving more. Her pieces exuded elegance with her cardigans, platform shoes, and velvet dresses that mirrored vintage 1950’s trends in the most wonderful manner.
Other designers who showcased their pieces include Christopher Kane, Peter Pilotto, Jonathan Saunders, and several others. If London Fashion Week left you eager to remain on trend, many dresses of the 2013 Spring/Summer line from Komarov Clothing are sure to delight you.
