Smoothie break

Sometimes we get so busy we forget to eat!  Or at least many of us have trouble making time to cook.  The best way to stay healthy and to know what you’re putting in your body is to cook your own food.  A great alternative to cooking that is quick and easy is making a smoothie!

The recipe below is a great afternoon snack because it feels like a Caribbean cocktail.  Shut your eyes for a moment and you just might hear the ocean waves!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup frozen or fresh raspberries
  • 1 large frozen banana (peel and freeze before making)
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp agave, or to taste (or other liquid sweetener)
  • ice, if necessary
